1. About these terms
These terms apply when you buy a Scriptivox lifetime plan from Scriptivox, 672 Blue Mountain St, Coquitlam, BC V3J 4R6, Canada ("Scriptivox", "we", "us").
They add to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. If these terms and the Terms of Use disagree about a lifetime plan, these terms apply.
2. What "lifetime" means
"Lifetime" means you can use the plan you bought for as long as Scriptivox operates the service. It does not mean your lifetime, and it is not a promise that the service will run forever.
A lifetime plan is a licence to use the service. You pay once and there is no recurring charge. You do not own the software.
3. What your plan includes
Your plan includes the features and allowances shown on its card when you bought it. These can include monthly transcription minutes, storage, maximum file length, meeting recording minutes and AI credits. We email you a copy when you buy.
If we rename a plan, your plan moves to the new name with the same allowances. Where a plan card says "unlimited", the fair-use rules in section 8 apply.
4. Your monthly allowance
Your transcription minutes and meeting recording minutes refill every month, on the day of the month you bought your plan. In a month without that day, they refill on its last day.
Unused plan minutes do not carry over; each month starts fresh. AI credits refill on the schedule shown on your plan card.
5. Add-ons
You can buy add-ons for more minutes, meeting time or storage. Add-on minutes never expire and carry over from month to month. Each month we use your plan's allowance first and your add-ons after that.
6. One lifetime plan per account
Each lifetime tier is sold in a limited number. When a tier sells out, it is no longer available.
Each account can hold one lifetime plan. You cannot upgrade, downgrade or buy a second lifetime plan yourself; add-ons are how you get more capacity.
If you want a different tier, email us. We may move you if you pay the difference. You keep your add-ons when you move.
7. Personal use only
A lifetime plan is for one person. You may not sell, resell, rent, give away or transfer your account or your plan. You may not share your login or let anyone else use your account.
A lifetime account cannot join a Team workspace. To use Scriptivox with a team, use a separate account on a Team plan.
An account cannot hold a lifetime plan and a paid subscription at the same time. If both are bought, we cancel and refund the later purchase.
8. Fair use
Lifetime plans follow the same rules as every other plan. You may not:
- run automated or bulk use designed to get around your plan's limits;
- use your plan to run a transcription service for others, or sell its transcripts or other outputs as a service;
- open several accounts to multiply allowances;
- try to bypass limits, security or payment.
Pro Lifetime and "unlimited" transcription. Pro Lifetime includes unlimited transcription for your own use. "Unlimited" means no monthly minute cap on one person's normal use. It does not cover running a transcription business, reselling, automated bulk processing, or use by more than one person.
If your use goes well beyond normal individual use, we will contact you first. We may then limit how much or how fast your account can process.
If we believe you are breaking these rules, we will tell you and may pause your account while we look into it.
9. 14-day money-back guarantee
If Scriptivox is not right for you, email support@scriptivox.com from your account email within 14 days of buying. We refund the full price of the lifetime plan to your original payment method.
When we refund, the lifetime plan ends and your account moves to the free plan. Your files stay in your account under the free plan's limits.
The guarantee can be used once per person. After a refund, you cannot buy a lifetime plan again.
This guarantee is in addition to any rights you have under the law where you live.
10. Changes to the service
We keep improving Scriptivox, so some things will change over time. We may change the AI models and providers we use, supported languages and file formats, and the app's design and features.
We will not reduce the monthly transcription minutes, storage or maximum file length listed for your plan when you bought it.
If a change has a significant negative effect on how you use your plan, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect.
11. New features
You get improvements to the features your plan includes. New products, new add-ons and features not listed on your plan card may cost extra.
12. If Scriptivox shuts down or is sold
If we decide to stop operating the service, we will email you at least 60 days before it closes. During those 60 days you can export your transcripts and files. Your lifetime plan ends when the service closes, and no refund is due unless the law requires one.
If Scriptivox is sold or merged, your plan and these terms may move to the new owner.
13. When we can end a lifetime plan
We can suspend or end a lifetime plan only if:
- you seriously or repeatedly break these terms or the Terms of Use;
- you use the plan for fraud or illegal activity;
- a chargeback on your purchase is decided in your favour (section 14);
- the law requires us to.
Where it is reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. If we end a plan for one of these reasons, no refund is due unless the law requires one.
14. Chargebacks
If something is wrong with your purchase, please contact us first; we can usually fix it faster than your bank.
If you dispute the charge with your bank, we may pause your plan while the dispute is open. If the bank decides in your favour, your plan ends, since the payment has been returned, and you cannot buy a lifetime plan again. If it decides in ours, we restore your plan.
15. Support and availability
Lifetime plans include standard email support. We work to keep Scriptivox available, but we do not guarantee uptime, and there may be maintenance or outages.
16. Price and taxes
Prices are shown in US dollars at checkout. Taxes that apply where you live are added at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe.
17. Your data
Your content stays yours, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export your transcripts at any time.
18. Changes to these terms
If we update these terms, we will email you at least 30 days before the changes apply to your plan. Changes never reduce what section 10 says we will keep.
